This collection comprises 2 alternative sound banks (totaling 128 presets) tailored for use with the Microkorg XL and XL+. These presets are aligned with the synthesizer's built-in categories and factory bankset. The sonic palette reflects a more contemporary approach, featuring updated sounds across various genres such as Trap, Dubstep, Deep House, Minimal/Dub Techno, Neurofunk, and others. Each preset is conveniently mapped to the pitch/modulation wheels and the 3 assignable knobs.
All presets are available in .mkxl_all / .mkxlp_all formats. To install the sound bankset onto your Microkorg XL, you will need to download the sound editor (available for both MAC and PC) from the official KORG website. Simply open the file and select "write all programs" from the MIDI menu.
In recording the video we used the synthesizer exclusively without any external processing, except for a little compression.
